City of Vancouver Heritage Award-winning bed & breakfast in downtown Vancouver

Guests have 24-hour access to a complimentary Guest Pantry stocked with home-baked snacks, coffee, tea, juice, and soft drinks. O Canada House is located within 2 km of Stanley Park, a 5-minute drive from Coal Harbour's marina and waterfront restaurants. Guests can walk to downtown Vancouver's cultural and shopping experiences, including Robson Street. Nearby attractions include Grouse Mountain, offering helicopter tours, hiking trails, and wildlife viewing 7 km away.

Services & Parking

Luggage storage is available for early check-ins and late check-outs, with access codes active until 5 pm on checkout day. Common areas include a shared lounge with fireplace, a garden terrace, and sun terrace for relaxation.

“In my opinion, the hotel stands out for its prime location and unique historical character, particularly its award-winning Victoria-style architecture. I think that the complimentary Guest Pantry and tailored breakfast add a distinctive touch, although some rooms could benefit from updates. For those seeking a tranquil, adults-only retreat in the heart of the city, it could be a good choice.”

worn carpet peculiar smell
The location proved convenient with shops and restaurants nearby.
The condition of the room was disappointing. The carpet seemed quite worn. there was a peculiar smell I couldn't quite place, but it wasn't particularly inviting. I suspect a deep clean is in order.

adequate stay with notable drawbacks

lack of housekeeping stained carpets
the breakfast included eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, potatoes, and fruit.
The place did not entirely resemble the advertised pictures. there was no daily housekeeping, so fresh towels were only available upon request. the carpets in the rooms require serious cleaning or replacement. The ones in both rooms i booked had stains.

Acceptable stay

parking space pantry food worn decor staff absence
The hotel had a convenient parking space (this was quite useful). Breakfast was included daily. The food and drinks in the pantry were available anytime. The location near shops and restaurants was a bonus.
The carpet in the room looked old (it could use some updating). The room lacked air conditioning. I found that many things looked quite worn. I noticed that there were no staff present upon arrival.
